India's pacer continued to chip away at the wickets to leave England in a mess on 139 for six at tea on Day 1.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami picked two wickets each as England were reduced to 86 for six at one stage.

Moeen Ali (30) and Sam Curran (27) kept England afloat with their unbeaten stand of 53 runs for the seventh wicket.

Shami claimed both the wickets in the post-lunch session. He got Jos Buttler (21) caught at third slip by Kohli before Ben Stokes (23) was trapped leg before wicket.
