Defiant Pujara keeps England at bay

Pujara pulls a short ball from Anderson but turns down the single and he does the same for the next three balls before taking one from the fifth ball and Ishant is able to block the last ball.
Pujara quickly eating up England's lead with some useful runs. Moeen drops short as Pujara rocks back and steers him through the vacant thirdman region for a four and again picks a single off the fifth ball.
Spin from both ends as Adil Rashid comes into the attack from the other end. Pujara clips the first ball to midwicket and strangely he decides to run across for a single to take his score to 90 and bring Ishant on strike with five balls still left in the over.
Ishant gets a huge stride across and sweeps Rashid behind square for a couple but is beaten two balls later attempting a similar shot as England appeal for LBW which is turned down.
In the next over, Pujara chips down the track and lofts Moeen over midwicket for a four to take his score to 94 but is unable to get a single off the last ball.
Ishant does well to take a single off the first ball off the next over bowled by Rashid before Pujara takes one from the next.
Ishant does well to play out the rest of the over as the duo manage to string together a crucial partnership and keep England at bay as they take their score to 222 for eight, trailing the hosts by 24 runs.
