Curran tries a short ball to Pujara, who pulls it to deep square leg for a single before Kohli plays out the rest of the over.

In the next over, Pujara slashes at a short wide delivery from Anderson, cutting it past point for a four. The next ball is clipped square on the leg side for two runs.

Kohli plays another loose drive outside the off-stump as he chases a wide delivery from Curran only to get a thick outside edge which flies past gully for a four.

He gets a single off the next ball before Pujara drives the fifth ball through the covers for two runs.

Kohli plays a much better shot, this time bang off the middle as he plays his trademark cover drive off a wide half-volley from Anderson for a four to race to 18 from as many balls.

Part-time medium pacer Keaton Jennings comes into the attack as Curran gets a break after bowling seven overs in his first spell.

He gets one to come in as Kohli tries to flick but misses and is hit high on the pads. The India captain throws his bat at a wide but fails to make connection before he takes a single from the last ball to retain strike.

Spin introduced as Adil Rashid comes into the attack. Kohli tries to turn it on the leg side but is beaten as the ball hit the pads. He drives the next ball through the covers to pick up a couple of runs and then takes a single off the fifth ball to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Jennings continues as Kohli picks a single on the leg side before Pujara punches the last ball through the covers for two runs.

Rashid gifts Kohli a full toss who drives it through the covers but only for a single to the man in the deep. Pujara is nearly done in by one which stays low but the ball is away from the stumps before he takes one to sweeper cover to bring up India's 100, after 30 overs.
