India 72-2 (22 ovs) vs England 246 | Scorecard

It is the impressive Broad who strikes again as he sends back the other India opener.

Dhawan pokes at a wide outgoing delivery only to get an edge and is caught behind by Buttler for 23.

A long first spell for Broad works wonders for England as the veteran pacer strikes in the ninth over of his first spell.

Curran drifts on the pads as Pujara clips it behind square for two runs and he slaps the last ball through the covers for a four as the pacer overpitches.

Broad tempts Kohli with a wide outswinger but the India captain leans forward and crashes it through the covers for a four to get off the mark in grand style.

A single to Kohli before Pujara tries to run the ball down to thirdman but gets a thick outside edge which flies over the slips for a four. He punches the last ball down the ground past mid-on for two runs.

Kohli sees out a maiden over from Curran in which he misses the chance to score some runs, as he fails to get his bat down for a glance to a leg side delivery.

Not surprising that Anderson comes back with Kohli out in the middle.

A single to Pujara before Kohli goes hard at a wide outswinger from Anderson only to get a thick outside edge which flies past the slips for a four.

That sees Kohli bring up 6000 runs in Tests, in his 119th innings, the second fastest Indian to reach the landmark behind Sunil Gavaskar, who got the landmark in 117 innings. Sachin Tendulkar took 120 innings to get his 6000 runs.
