SA 84-2 (27 ovs) & 335 vs India 307
| Scorecard

Play gets underway on Day 3 as De Villiers and Elgar stride out to the middle after a delay of nearly an hours.

Shami completes the over as de Villiers flicks the last ball on the leg side for a single.

Jasprit Bumrah is called into the attack in place of Ashwin. He gets one to kick off quite a bit as Elgar tries to fend it but gets an edge which flies between the wicketkeeper and first slip, with none going for it. That is an opportunity missed for the Indians, maybe the wicketkeeper with his big gloves should have put in the dive to his left.

And the ball sneaks through the gap and goes for a four to take the lead past the 100-run mark.

Shami is not looking in rhythm. He bowls a short wide delivery which de Villiers slaps through the covers for a four as he continues to keep the runs coming at a good rate.

South Africa have reached 84 for two in 27 overs, stretching their lead to 112 runs.
