Eng 121-2 (20 ovs) vs India 256-8 | Scorecard

Root flicks Chahal uppishly through midwicket for two runs as England continue to maintain a positive approach against the two Indian spinners.

A single to long-off from the next ball before Morgan reverse sweeps the third ball to the fielder in the deep for one and Root gets another single off the next to get five from the over.

A single each to Root and Morgan before Kuldeep bowls a full toss which the former sweeps to deep square leg for two runs.

Morgan chips down the track to Chahal but fails to get to the pitch as the ball hits the pads and goes on the off-side.

Chahal bowls a superb over to Morgan, who is keen to break free but can only get a single off the last ball of the over after five straight dot balls.

England's quickfire start means that they can play out the spinners cautiously without worrying about the asking rate.

But England are not wasting any opportunity to pick runs off the two spinners.

India make a change as part-time off-spinner Suresh Raina comes into the attack. Morgan punches a short ball through the covers to the fielder in the deep for a single and Root takes one off the fifth delivery.

Raina's final ball of the over is a poor one as he drops short and Morgan comfortably pulls it over midwicket for a four.

Another tidy over from Chahal, as he gives away just two runs in his sixth, as England reach 121 for two in 20 overs, they need another 136 runs from 30 overs for victory at around 4.5 per over.
