Eng 181-2 (30 ovs) vs India 256-8 | Scorecard

The Indian bowlers have been guilty of bowling a lot of loose deliveries, bowling either wide or short. Morgan is able to free his arm as he slashes at a wide delivery from Thakur for a boundary through point.

Pandya comes back into the attack. He doesn't make an impression either, giving away just six runs in his third over.

Thakur gets Morgan to edge one but it flies wide of Dhoni and goes for a boundary.

A single off the fifth ball helps Morgan bring up his fifty, from 58 balls as England continue their cruise.

Three runs from the next over as Root and Morgan raise the 100-run stand for the third wicket as England sit firmly in control.

Thakur tries a short ball but Morgan manages to comfortably pull it for a four.

Two balls later, Dhoni is unable to get to a low catch the leg side as Root attempts to glance Thakur fine.

England are in control as they reach 181 for two in 30 overs, needing another 76 runs from 20 overs for victory at under four per over.

Root has looked solid on 60 from 76 balls, while Morgan has stroked his way to 57 from 64 balls with the duo putting on 107 so far for the third wicket.
