Umesh continues, bowling his sixth over on the trot in his first spell. Stanikzai cuts a short ball through the off-side but Jadeja sprints after the ball and puts in the slide to keep it down to just two before he plays out the rest of the over.
A break for Ishant after a good first spell of two for 28 in five overs as all-rounder Hardik Pandya comes into the attack.
Left-hander Hashmatullah Shahidi gets off the mark with a four as Pandya bowls it on the pads and also bring up Afghanistan's 50, in the 12th over.
Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin strikes in his very first over with the wicket of Stanikzai, who is bowled for 11. The right-hander looks to drive Ashwin through the off-side but misses it completely and is bowled.
Mohammed Nabi plays out the rest of the over as Ashwin starts with a wicket maiden.
Ashwin strikes again in his next over as Shahidi is hit on the pads trying to defend and is given out leg before wicket. He immediately signals for the review and rightly so as he had got an inside edge which saves him.
Nabi attempts a risky paddle sweep for two runs fine on the leg side to get off the mark.
