Afg 19-1 (4 ovs) (f/o) vs India | Scorecard

Ishant Sharma to open the bowling for India in the second innings as they again look for a few early wickets.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan, who are following on, will need a much better showing from their batsmen as they look to put up atleast a semblance of a fight with the bat.

A watchful Mohammad Shahzad plays out the opening over from Ishant with utmost caution.

Umesh starts with a beauty as Javed Ahmadi is beaten on the outside edge trying to defend and he is beaten again off the next delivery.

He then offers no shot to a delivery which passes close to the off-stump before he picks a single to get his team off the mark.

Shahzad then chases a wide delivery only to get a thick outside edge for a boundary past the gully region before the last ball goes wide down the leg side beating wicketkeeper Karthik for four byes.

Shahzad makes most of some width as he slashes a wide delivery from Umesh square on the off-side for a four before he clips it through midwicket for another boundary.

However, the pacer has the last laugh as Shahzad plays away from his body, looking to drive and is caught behind for 13.
