India 85-4 (10/19 ovs) vs SL 152-9 | Scorecard

Leg-spinner Jeevan Mendis comes into the attack. Two singles and a wide off the first two deliveries before Manish Pandey powerfully pulls the third ball past the fielder at midwicket for a four.

A single to Pandey before Rahul turns the fifth ball on the leg side for two runs and then drives the last ball for another couple.

Thisara Perera comes into the attack. The first ball is short and wide as Pandey hammers it through the covers for a four followed by four singles to get eight from the over.

Pandey takes a quick single on the leg side as Rahul has to dive to make his crease. Wickekeeper Kusal Perera does well to whip off the bails as Rahul's dive just about saves him with the third umpire giving him the benefit of doubt.

Incidentally, while the commentators debate over the run out, Rahul is dismissed hit wicket off the very next ball. He goes right back in the crease and ends up hitting the stumps with his shoes to be become the first Indian batsman to fall hit wicket in a T20 International.

Rahul walks back for 18 as India are reduced to 85 for four after 10 overs, needing another 68 runs from nine overs for victory.
