Mitchell Johnson opens the bowling for the hosts, while Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis are the two openers for CSK.

Watson drives the third ball through the off-side for a four to get off the mark and then takes one to thirdman.

Du Plessis then gets the outside edge which goes past the slip fielder for another four before he takes one to get 10 from the first over.

Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla bowls the second over. Du Plessis swings the second ball across the line but had missed it completely before he slaps the third ball through the covers for a four.

Du Plessis attacks Chawla as he lofts the fifth ball over mid-off for the second four of the over.

Pacer Shivam Mavi to bowl the third over. After two dot balls, Watson inside edges it back on to his pads as du Plessis calls him for a quick run. Mavi across and has a shy at the stumps but du Plessis has made his crease.

Du Plessis looks to smash the fourth ball through the off-side but gets an inside edge which goes through fine leg for a four followed by a single as CSK reach 24 for no loss in three overs.
