Banned for two years due to the spot-fixing scandal in 2013, it turned out to be a fairytale comeback for Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK as they hammered Sunrisers Hyderabad to clinch their third IPL title.

Shane Watson blasted an unbeaten century to power Chennai Super Kings to an emphatic eight-win victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL-11 final in Mumbai on Sunday.

Watson smashed 117 from 57 balls, hitting eight sixes and 11 fours, as CSK cruised to 181 for two in 18.3 overs.

SRH, who were put into bat, were restricted to 178 for six in their 20 overs on a good batting wicket at the Wankhede stadium.
