With lastman Mohammed Shami out in the middle, Jadeja decides to hog the strike as he turns down singles off the first three balls.

He slog sweeps the fourth ball from Bishoo but fails to beat midwicket before the left-hander comes down and lofts the next ball straight down the ground for a six.

West Indies keep the field out as Jadeja drives the last ball down to long-on for a single to retain strike.

Brathwaite firing it in on the stumps, not giving Jadeja anything to get under. But the fifth ball is down the leg side as Jadeja helps it round the corner for a four and then takes one to take his score to 91, his highest in Tests.

No stopping Jadeja as he lofts Bishoo for another six straight down the ground to take his score to 97.

The last ball is short as Jadeja cuts it to deep point for a single to retain strike.

The last wicket partnership is 18 from 19 balls so far but lastman Shami is yet to face a delivery.

Brathwaite does well to deny Jadeja any runs in the 148th over with some flat bowling. He also fails to get a single off the last ball as the cut shot goes straight to the fielder.

In the next over, Shami steers  Bishoo uppishly past second slip and is happy to pick up just a single to bring Jadeja back on strike.

Jadeja cuts the next ball to deep point to take his score to 99.

Bishoo nearly does in for Shami with one that turns sharply as it narrowly misses the edge.

A single off Brathwaite in the next over helps Jadeja complete his maiden Test century, from 132 balls.
