WI 94-6 (29 ovs) vs India: 649-9d | Scorecard

Welcome to the coverage of Day 3 of the first Test between India and West Indies in Rajkot on Saturday.

India would be keen to extend their domination and finish off Windies first innings early on the third day and thereby claim a huge first innings lead.

The hapless West Indies were reeling on 94 for six in 29 overs in reply to India's mammoth 649 for nine declared at stumps on the second day.

Mohammed Shami started the slide as he sent back both the openers early -- Kraigg Brathwaite (2) and Kieran Powell (1) -- before the spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav picked up a wicket each.

Earlier, centuries from Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja powered India to a massive 649 for nine declared in their first innings.
