October 06, 2018  14:02

WI (f/o) 155-6 (36 ovs) & 181 vs Ind 649-9d | Scorecard

Kuldeep beats left-hander Powell with one that turns away and goes past the edge of the bat before he takes a single off the next and Dowrich defends the rest of the over.

With India's spinners not giving him full balls, Powell has cut down on the lofted shots and is looking to bat normally as he runs a wide delivery from Jadeja to thirdman for one.

Dowrich, who played a rash shot to be dismissed in the first innings, also keen to battle it out in the middle as he bats cautiously.

Powell drives Kuldeep through the off-side for one before Dowrich hits the next ball past the cover fielder for a couple followed by just two singles off Jadeja in the next.

Powell cuts a short ball from Kuldeep for a four to take his score into the 80s.

The spinner gets revenge off the next delivery as Powell is caught at silly point by Shaw. Powell, who stroked 83 from 93 balls, tries to defend a full delivery but ends up lobbing it on the off-side as Shaw standing close holds on to a sharp catch.

Kuldeep picks up his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests as WI lose their sixth wicket.

Keemo Paul, who played a few attacking shots earlier in the day, comes out attacking as he sweeps the first ball he faces from Kuldeep for a four through square leg.
