WI 295-7 (95 ovs) vs India | Scorecard
Welcome to the coverage of Day 2 of the second Test between India and West Indies in Hyderabad on Saturday.
India will be aiming to pick early wickets and end West Indies innings quickly on the second day.
West Indies provided some resistance in the post-tea session on Day 1 courtesy of Roston Chase, who stroked a solid 98 not out, to steer the visitors to a respectable 295 for seven in 95 overs at stumps.
Electing to bat, West Indies again looked in danger of ending with a
below-par total following a few early wickets before Chase steadied the
ship.
Chase, who hit seven fours and a six in his 174-ball knock, put on 69 runs for the sixth wicket with Shane Dowrich, who made 30.
He
then defied India in the post-tea session in the company of captain
Jason Holder, who made 52, as the duo put on 104 runs from 183 balls for
the seventh wicket.
