The Test match is still delicately poised as England reach 152 for five in 58 overs at the tea break on Day 3.

Ben Stokes was unbeaten on a patient 20 from 79 balls, while Jos Buttler had made 22 from 39 balls, as England stretched their lead to 125 runs.

India continued to chip away at the wickets as Shami struck with the first ball of the session, as he bowled Jonny Bairstow for a first ball duck.

Captain Joe Root, who made 48, before he was run out by a direct hit from Shami at mid-on.

England had lost three wickets in the morning session. India had struck twice within the first 12 overs to remove Alastair Cook (12) and Moeen Ali (9), who was promoted up the order to allow Root to bat at his favoured position of four.
