Jennings clips a full delivery from Ishant through midwicket for three runs as the fielder does well to keep it inside the ropes with a dive.

Ishant looking to pitch the ball up as Cook is forced to defend before he taps the last ball to point to take a single.

Mohammed Shami comes into the attack in place of Bumrah. He starts with a full delivery which beats Cook before he drives the next through the covers for a couple.

He bowls one slightly short as Cook rocks back and clips it through square leg for another four.

Shami gets one to come in sharply as Cook is hit on the pads before the ball goes through to the keeper. India appeal for the leg before but the impact is high and the ball is nowhere close to the bat for the inside edge.

Cook plays away from his body as Shami beats the bat yet again before the opener comes forward and solidly blocks the last ball.

With around five minutes for tea, India introduce spin early as Jadeja comes into the attack, replacing Ishant, to bowl the eighth over.

Jennings nudges the second ball to fine leg for a single and Cook clips the fourth ball to deep square leg for another run.

In the next over, Cook picks another single off Shami on the leg side before Jennings steers a short ball to thirdman for one.

Shami produces a beauty, a full delivery which nips away late to beat Cook all ends up and he does it again off the next ball. How many times has Shami beaten the bat in this match and has still not got a wicket!

Shami makes it three in a row as Cook pokes yet again and is beaten for the third ball in succession. Cook ends the session well as he defends the last ball off the middle of the bat as England reach 20 for no loss in nine overs.
