Alastair Cook hit an unbeaten century to continue England's domination on Day 4 of the fifth and final Test against India at the Oval.

Cook was unbeaten on 103 in his final Test innings, while captain Joe Root stroked his way to a fluent 92 to power England to 243 for two in 74 overs, to stretch their lead to 283 runs.

England dominated with the bat in the morning session, scoring 129 runs in 31 overs without losing a wicket.

England will look to build their lead in the post-lunch session and give India a target in excess of 400 which should put them in pole position to complete a 4-1 series win.
