Pat Cummins will start the proceedings of the day. Three slips in place for Ajinkya Rahane. He defends the first two balls and then pushes the next towards mid-on for a couple of runs. Rahane pushes next to short mid-wicket but will get no runs. He doesn't offer bat to the next from Cummins. Dot ball to end the over.

Mitchell Starc comes from the other end. Pujara defends the first towards short leg and the next towards mid-on. He leaves the next alone. Two more dot balls to end the over. Excellent maiden over from Starc. India are 64-2 after 28 overs.

Cummins continues, Rahane defends the first and pulls the next to backward square leg for a single. Pujara leaves the good ball and defends with his soft hands the next. Pujara pushes off the back foot along the ground to forward square leg where it's fielded by Nathan Lyon, doesn't get any runs. Defends the last ball of the over too.

Starc continues, Rahane offers no bat to it. Rahane gets an edge and he gives it a push and the ball travels through the air out to the deep third man boundary. Four runs! Rahane lets the next two deliveries go past him. He leaves the last ball too.

India are 69-2 and they trail by 300 runs.
