The BCCI on Sunday made it clear that the Indian cricketers would not be allowed nightouts which may endanger their security during the Test series again Sri Lanka.

In Kanpur to take stock of the preparations for the second Test of the series here starting on November 24, the BCCI spokesperson Rajiv Shukla said, "It is worrying that cricketers have been going out on their own, risking their security. We have asked the team management to make it clear to them that they are not allowed to do so without informing relevant officials."

Shukla, also the BCCI Finance Committee chairman, was referring to the incident in Mohali where the Indian cricketers, including captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and key members Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh, left the team hotel without informing the police personnel on the eve of their one day match against Australia.

"They should inform security officials where they are going, so that necessary arrangements can be made for ensuring their safety," Shukla added.

Asked if he was satisfied with the preparations for the second Test, Shukla said, "I am happy with the arrangements and hopefully the spectators will enjoy a good game."
