Daniel VettoriNew Zealand's inspirational skipper Daniel Vettori won three awards, including Cricketer of the Year, at the annual awards ceremony in Auckland on Thursday.

The 30-year-old also won the Winsor Cup for being the country's most successful first-class bowler. He was also named best all-rounder of the year.

"Daniel has been an inspiration to his team and to New Zealand cricket fans. He has also cemented his reputation as one of the most accomplished and intelligent captains in world cricket today," NZC Chief Executive Justin Vaughan said.

"He's led from the front this season. A match-winning six-wicket Test bag against the West Indies, a century against India -- then going on later in the year to join the elite club of 300 wickets and 3000 runs -- this really has been Daniel's year," Vaughan added.

Meanwhile, Jesse Ryder, who scored his maiden Test century and then a double hundred against India, won the award for the best batsman in first-class cricket, while the one-day bowling award went to Kyle Mills.
