Pakistan skipper Younis Khan has said that after being cleared of the match-fixing charges, his responsibility for the squad has increased, and he is now aiming to see Pakistan as the number one team.

Younis KhanHe said this while talking to media after attending the Islamic Relief Fund at Karachi Gymkhana.

Younis also said that the upcoming series against New Zealand would not be easy, as the Kiwis play like a unit and that they too have to play with unity for achieving success against them.

"If you look at the New Zealand squad it is one of the three teams along with Sri Lanka and Australia who play well as a unit," The News quoted Younis, as saying.

Younis further said that with the tournament being a played at a neutral venue, the United Arab Emirates, neither of the teams would be having any advantage.

"The (playing) conditions will be similar for both teams in the UAE, so there will be no advantage or disadvantage for any team. What matters will be that we have to play as a team to beat them," he added.

The Pakistan skipper said that he will be seeking revenge after his sideĀ had lost to New Zealand in the semifinals of the Champions Trophy in South Africa, a controversial loss that almost cost him his career.

"New Zealand did very well in the Champions Trophy and I hope we could avenge our defeat by playing as a team against them," Younis was quoted as saying.

Pakistan will play three one-day internationals on November 3, 6 and 9 in Abu Dhabi, and two Twenty20 internationals in Dubai on November 12 and 13, in a series, which was relocated to the United Arab Emirates over security fears.
