Gundappa Viswanath had made 112 against West Indies [ Images ] at Port of Spain in 1975-76, Sunil Gavaskar [ Images ] 102 against West Indies at Port of Spain in 1975-76, Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] 103 not out against England [ Images ] at Chennai in 2008-09 and VVS Laxman 103 not out against Sri Lanka in the just concluded Test at Colombo (PSS).
# Laxman has posted six 50-plus scores in his last eight innings - 51 not out at Ahmedabad [ Images ], 63 at Kanpur and 62 at Mumbai [ Images ] in November/December 2009, followed by 22 & 69 at Galle, 29 at Colombo (SSC) and 56 & 103 not out at Colombo (PSS).
# Laxman has batted quite well to average 69.75 in the recently concluded series, aggregating 279 in five innings, including one century and two fifties.
# Tendulkar has amassed 867 runs at an average of 86.70 in seven Tests this year, including five centuries and two fifties - the most in 2010.
# Tendulkar and Laxman put on a fifth-wicket stand of 109 - India's highest against Sri Lanka at Colombo (PSS), beating the 105 in the first innings of the just concluded Test between Raina and Laxman.
# Suraj Randiv [ Images ] (5/82) has recorded his first five-wicket haul in Tests, surpassing the 4 for 80 in the first innings of the just concluded Test.

# For the first time in a Test match against Sri Lanka Laxman has registered a century and a fifty - 56 & 103 not out.
# India's five-wicket triumph is their fourth over Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka and their 35th on foreign soil.
