Three quick wickets almost undid the superb performance by his bowlers to bundle India out for 243 but Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons believes his side has enough quality batsmen who can pile on a big total in the first Test in Chittagong.

"We had a good day today though three wickets fell quickly. Our players may have played shots on good balls (which was reason for that). I hope the batsmen will apply themselves tomorrow and post a big total to put pressure on the Indians," he said.

"Our bowlers did a commendable job as they dismissed the two tailenders quickly today though Sachin Tendulkar hung around and took their score to 243.

"We have a lot of batting to come. We have two-three good players who can score Test hundreds. I am hoping one of them scores big," he added.

Siddons was disappointed that only 24.5 overs were possible today due to bad light caused by foggy conditions but said his side are in an advantageous position.

"It is disappointing that only 20-odd overs were possible today. But there are still two-three days left and we are looking at putting up a big score," said Siddon.

Siddons said under ICC rules, players on the field cannot approach the umpires to stop play because of bad light and this job can be done only by the team management.

"The players cannot by themselves ask the umpires for light. If they do they will get sanctioned. Under ICC rules, this can be done by the team management only," he said.
