India 'A' bowlers found it tough to contain the West Indies 'A' batsmen and the Caribbean men rode on skipper Devon Smith's resolute hundred to force a draw in the four-day match between the two sides in Surrey.

In response to India's mammoth first innings score of 543 for eight, West Indies were packed off for 563, taking a 20-run lead.

Starting the day at 332 for 3, Smith converted his overnight hundred to 170 and shared a 70-run stand with Kirk Edwards before a mid-order collapse.

Smith's was the second century knock for the West Indies 'A' innings after Andrew Fletcher made 123.

Smith struck 22 fours during his 312-ball stay at the crease, while Edwards' 131-ball 40 included three boundaries.

Both the batsmen were dismissed with the team score on 402.

They lost two more quick wickets to be reduced to 413 for 7 before David Bernard (70) and Gavin Tonge (54) came together to steer the Windies to safety.

They added 64 runs for the eighth wicket and shared eight fours between them.

For India, Jaidev Unadkat and Iqbal Abdulla picked up three wickets apiece, while Manoj Tiwary also chipped in with a couple of scalps.

Brief Score:

India A: 543 for 8 (Pujara 208, Russell 5-97).

West Indies A: 563 (Fletcher 123, Smith 170).
