The Pakistan Cricket Board has fined three players -- Abdul Rehman, Zulqarnain Haider and Shahzaib Hasanand -- and also issued them notices for violating curfew hours.

Team manager Intikhab Alam fined the three players 500 dirhams each for returning late to the team hotel in Dubai, where they are playing a One-Day series.

"This exercise basically is to let the players know clearly that now the management will no longer tolerate any violations of the code of conduct," Alam said.

The team manager had earlier also cautioned senior all rounder Abdul Razzaq and fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar for violating the code.

Razzaq had made some contentious remarks in the media after the second One-Day International against South Africa in Abu Dhabi last week while Shoaib also returned to the hotel late, breaking curfew timings.

The ICC, after the spot-fixing scandal erupted in England, came down hard on the PCB, giving it 30-days time to implement proper anti-corruption measures in international and domestic cricket.

As part of the reforms, the PCB has adopted a zero tolerance policy on players violating the terms of their contract.

"It has been made clear to the players that they have to adhere to the code of conduct and team regulations. Any violations would be dealt with under the code because that is the only way to introduce a more disciplined culture in the team," Intikhab told Geo News.

Pakistan and South Africa play the final One-Day International on Monday in Dubai with the series locked on 2-2.

On Sunday the PCB Chairman was also involved in another teleconference with the ICC special task force regarding the anti-corruption and reform measures taken by the PCB so far to put things in order.
