Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday rubbished reports that the team was sent a notice for non-payment of entertainment tax after their first match match of the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Mohali.

"Kings XI Punjab has already paid a substantial amount as entertainment tax for its first game in Mohali on April 13, 2011. Since tickets for home matches are sold across various venues, final reconciliation for all games will happen subsequently," said Col. Arvinder Singh, COO, KXIP.

"We are in touch with the concerned authorities who have already agreed to this arrangement in the first place. We at Kings XI Punjab are providing entertainment and employment, alongside paying our dues on time. We believe in adhering to the law and abide by the rules every time," he added.

It was earlier reported that the team was issued a notice for non-payment of entertainment duty, which it owed for their first match of the league, played at the PCA stadium in Mohali on April 13.
