Rahane hits fifty to steer India to 260-5 at lunch

Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara hit half-centuries to extend India's lead on Day 4 of the first Test against Adelaide on Sunday.

Rahane was unbeaten on 57, while Rishabh Pant was on 10 as India reached 260 for five in 95 overs at the lunch interval, to stretch their lead to 275 runs.

Resuming on 151 for three, India's batsmen were hardly troubled in the morning session. Pujara once again stood tall with the bat, with a solid innings of 71, as he put on 87 runs for the fourth wicket with Rahane.

Nathan Lyon gave Australia something to cheer for in the morning session with the wickets of Pujara and Rohit Sharma (1).
