Australia end the day at 132 for 4 as Khawaja (41) and captain Paine (8) at the crease.

India's pacemem bowled a fiery spell with each of them apart from Umesh getting wickets. The pitch has being doing a lot and batsmen have been hit all over.

Finch had to retire hurt just after getting hit on his finger just before lunch. It will be interesting to see how things pan out on Day 4 with a result very much on the horizon.

Ishant comes back into the attack and Paine just one in the over.

Umesh comes back into the attack and Paine leaves the first one.

After two dots, Paine just plays it to the off side for a single.

Khawaja then plays a loose shot, lucky it falls short of slips.

Khawaja then lets the last ball go as just one comes off it.

Vihari continues from around the wicket to Khawaja.

He keeps bowling outside the off-stump. This time he induces the edge from Khawaja. Rahane is not up to the task at slip and the ball races to the boundary for four. Fortunate for Khawaja.

Shami continues after a dot, he bowls short and Paine cuts it sweetly for a four through backward point.

Shami bowls another beautiful over as Paine successfully sees off the challenge.

Vihari continues and he maintains the pressure as just one comes in the over.

Shami continues and Khawaja gets hit on his hand.

Khawaja then sways away the next ball.

He finally sees off the ball without trouble.

Vihari continues and Paine sees him off, only just.
