Left-arm pinner Islam takes over from Mustafizur. Karthik takes one from the first ball before Dhoni chips down and hits the full toss through the vacant midwicket region for a four followed by four singles to get eight from the over.

Off-spinner Mahmudullah comes into the attack. The second ball is down the leg side for a wide as Dhoni tries to paddle it fine but fails to connect. He is then gifted a run as the fielder at midwicket looks for the direct hit and concedes an overthrow followed by three singles.

The singles are coming quite regularly as both Karthik and Dhoni pick two singles each off Islam, in the 28th over.

Karthik gets the boundary as he sweeps Mahmudullah fine on the leg side for a four. He repeats the shot two balls later but fails to beat the fielder at short fine leg.

Pacer Rubel, who bowled an excellent first spell of one for 13 in five overs including the key wicket of Rohit, comes back. Dhoni turns the fifth ball on the leg side before the fast bowler nearly strikes Karthik on the head with a quick short ball who manages to sway out of the way.

India are sitting pretty on 135 for three in 30 overs, needing another 88 runs from 20 overs for victory.

Karthik has made 37 from 60 balls, while Dhoni is on 29 with the duo having put on 52 runs for the fourth wicket so far.
