Kohli, Rahane swell India's lead

Ind 170-3 (67 ovs) & 297 vs WI 222 | Scorecard

Wonder what tactics West Indies are adopting as they bring in another part-time spinner in John Campbell. They seem to be keen to catch up with the over rate than aim for wickets as the match slowly drifts away in India's favour.

Kohli clips the third ball to midwicket for one and Rahane steers the fourth ball behind point for two runs and plays out the last two balls.

Chase quickly rushes through his 23rd over, conceding just a single and Campbell gives away just two singles in the next over.

Nine overs left in the day's play and India would be delighted if the part-time spinners continue and they finish without any further wickets lost before stumps.

Chase bowls another tidy over, as he sends down a maiden over to Rahane, who has inched closer to his second fifty in the match.

Campbell gifts Kohli a full toss which he whips through midwicket for a single as the fielder at long-on cuts it off and Rahane plays out the rest of the over with ease.

Chase follows it up with another tidy over, conceding just two singles.

Roach is back into the attack as finally West Indies look to do something to check India's steady progress.

Rahane is beaten by a full delivery which moves away as he is hit on the pads but the leg before shout is turned down.

West Indies, who have one review left, decide against taking it. But they realise their mistake soon enough when the Hawkeye shows that the impact was in line and the ball was going to crash into the stumps.

Rahane, on 48, would have been on his way back if West Indies had taken the review.
