NZ 157-all out (38 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Kuldeep Yadav picked up four wickets, while Mohammed Shami claimed three wickets to send New Zealand packing for a lowly 157, in the first ODI in Napier on Wednesday.

Shami gave India the perfect start after New Zealand had elected to bat first as he dismissed both the openers early on.

He bowled both Martin Guptill (5) and Colin Munro (8) before the spinners took centrestage in the middle overs.

Yuzvendra Chahal then dismissed Ross Taylor for 24 just when the veteran was looking to build a partnership in the company of captain Kane Williamson.

Kuldeep bagged the key wicket of Williamson, who was caught at long-on for 64, before the left-arm spinner ran through the lower order.

New Zealand lost their last four wickets for 10 runs in the space of 29 deliveries.
