Welcome to the coverage of first ODI between New Zealand and India in Napier on Wednesday.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has won the toss and elected to bat in the series opener.

India have gone in with two spinners as Kuldeep Yadav comes back into the team to partner Yuzvendra Chahal.

Ambati Rayudu also is back in the playing XI as he replaces Dinesh Karthik, while all-rounders Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar retain their places.
