Ashwin's wait for his first wicket in the match finally ends. Rabada goes for the heave over midwicket but ends up slicing it to Jadeja at point to perish for 12.

One over left in the day, India need two wickets to wrap up the match. Will the umpires extend play by half an hour?

De Bruyn goes for the cut shot but the extra bounce from Jadeja beats him as India appeal for caught behind which is turned down and they decide to take the review.

There is nothing on the Ultra Edge as India end up losing one of their reviews.

Jadeja nearly strikes next ball as he gets the ball to turn sharply and going past de Bruyn's bat and also passes very close to the off-stump.

De Bruyn then takes an easy single to the fielder at mid-off pushed back halfway down to the boundary and Nortje nudges the next ball to fine leg for a four and defends the last ball.

The umpires are checking for light at the end of the over before deciding to continue play, perhaps indicating that we could have one more over before stumps.

Ashwin continues as de Bruyn drives it through the covers for one before Nortje has a swing but misses and he then takes one to fine leg.

De Bruyn then sweeps the last ball powerfully behind square leg for a four.

The umpires check for light once again and yet again they decide to continue play.

Nortje plays out the over from Jadeja, which turns out to be final one of the day as the umpire call it stumps.

South Africa finish the third day on 132 for eight in 46 overs after being asked to follow. They still need another 203 runs to avoid the follow-on.

Concussion substitute Theunis de Bruyn stroked his way to 30 from 42 balls, while Norjte was unbeaten on five.
