Welcome to the coverage of Day 4 of the third and final Test match between India and South Africa in Ranchi on Tuesday.

India need just two wickets to wrap up victory and claim an emphatic 3-0 series whitewash against South Africa.

At close of play on Day 3, South Africa were reeling on 132 for eight in their second innings after being asked to follow on. They still need another 203 runs to avoid the innings defeat.

Earlier in the day, South Africa were bundled out for a lowly 162 in their first innings as the visitors lost 16 wickets on the third day, with pacers Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav taking 10 of them.

Concussion substitute Theunis de Bruyn was unbeaten on 30 at close of play, with Anrich Nortje on five. De Bruyn came in as the substitute for Dean Elgar, who was ruled out of the match, after he was struck on the helmet by a bouncer from fast bowler Umesh.
