NZ 187-7 (38 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Jadeja continues as de Grandhomme defends before he tries to pull but fails to connect and then taps the next on the off-side.

Jadeja then strays on the leg side as the right-hander glances it fine for a four, followed by two dot balls as the left-arm spinner finishes with 1-35 in 10 overs.

Pacer Thakur is back into the attack. Taylor is beaten trying to steer the second ball down to thirdman before he heaves the fourth ball over midwicket for a single and then takes a single.

De Grandhomme then throws his wicket away as he looks to swing Thakur on the leg side but ends up skying a simple catch Iyer at deep square leg to perish for five.

Leg-spinner Chahal is back into the attack. Mark Chapman is off the mark with a single to long-on and Taylor then takes one through the covers.

New Zealand continue to collapse as Chapman chips a simple catch back to the bowler Chahal, who manages to hold on this time, after dropping one earlier in the match.

Chapman perishes for one as New Zealand slip to 187 for seven in 38 overs.

The onus will now be on veteran Taylor, who is batting on 22 from 34 balls.
