Welcome to the coverage of Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, in Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday.

Four-time champions Mumbai Indians will be keen bounce after their defeat to Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener, while Kolkata Knight Riders will be aiming to make a winning start.

The high-profile clash will be a keenly watched-battle between big hitters on both sides on a sluggish Abu Dhabi track.

Mumbai boasts of a power-packed batting line-up featuring captain Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya, while KKR feature the likes of Sunil Narine, who has made an impact as the opener, along with Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik, Nitish Rana and the dangerous Andre Russell.

A lot of KKR fans will be eagerly watching the young Shubman Gill, who would no doubt be keen to leave a mark in the world's most followed cricket tournament.

Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah had a rare off-day, leaking 43 runs against CSK and he would like to bounce back against KKR's powerful line-up.

Apart from pacers and spinners Krunal Pandya and Rahul Chahar, they need one more option in the bowling and that can be in form of all-rounders Hardik and Kieron Pollard.

KKR are strong in the spin department as Narine has considerable experience of T20 cricket, while Kuldeep Yadav is a proven match-winner. Pat Cummins will lead the pace attack and could have youngsters Prasidh Krishana and Kamlesh Nagarkoti for company.
