Gill out for 21; KKR lose early wicket

KKR 27-1 (2 ovs) vs  RCB 204-4

Mohammed Siraj to open the bowling for RCB, while Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana are the two openers for KKR, who need to make most of the Powerplay and give their team a flying start.

Rana is beaten first ball as he throws his bat at a wide delivery before taking a single off the next to get off the mark.

Siraj bowls a wide down the leg side to Gill, who punches the third ball in the gap through the covers for a four to get off the mark in some style.

Gill defends the next two balls before he flicks the last ball to mid-on and steals a quick run.

Kyle Jamieson into the attack from the other end. Gill chips down the track to the first ball and hits it through the covers for a four.

Two balls later, he pulls a short ball over midwicket for a six, hitting it flat over the leg side.

He makes room and slashes the next ball square on the off-side for anotehr six as  KKR are off to a flier.

However, Jamieson gets revenge as Gill looks to loft the fifth ball but fails to get hold of it and substitute Dan Christian takes a superb diving catch.

Gill's entertaining innings cut short as he walks back for 21 from nine balls.

New batsman Rahul Tripathi wastes no time in getting going. He smashes the first ball he faces through the off-side for a four.
