India 142-2 (46 ovs) and 325 vs NZ 62 | Scorecard

Ajaz Patel continued his wicket ways but Mayank Agarwal's half-century stretched India's lead on Day 3 of the second and final Test in Mumbai on Sunday.

India were comfortably placed on 142/2 in 46 overs at the lunch break on Day 3, for an overall lead of 405 runs.

Opener Shubman Gill was unbeaten on 17, while captain Virat Kohli was on 11.

Earlier, Agarwal followed up his century in the first innings with another good knock of 62.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who opened the batting in the second innings, made 47.

Both the openers were snapped by Ajaz, who took 2/77, to take his match to 12 wickets.

It remains to be seen how long India opt to bat. They could look for another 100-plus runs in the second session and set NZ a daunting target of around 550.
