India 82-0 (24 ovs) and 325 vs NZ 62 | Scorecard

Left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel, who took all 10 wickets in India's first innings, starts off with the ball on Day 3.

Mayank Agarwal, resuming on 38, watchfully defends the first couple of deliveries before he drives the third to long-off for a single.

Cheteshwar Pujara shows some intent as he comes down the track and whips the spinner through midwicket for a four.

He does the same next ball taking the ball on the fall to flick it through midwicket to end the over with another boundary, as nine runs come from the first over.

These couple of fours will be a huge confidence booster for Pujara, who was dismissed by Ajaz attempting a similar shot in the first innings, when he was beaten in flight and bowled off the pads

Pacer Tim Southee from the other end. Agarwal pokes at a wide delivery as he gets the outside edge but it falls well short of the fielder at first slip.

Southee drifts on the pads as Agarwal glances it fine for a four, to take his score into the 40s.
