Bhuvneshwar Kumar to start off with the ball for India. The first ball is pitched up and swings away late as Avishka Fernando gets a thick outside edge which goes over the slip fielder for a four to get Sri Lanka off the mark.

The third ball is the inswinger as Fernando clips it to fine leg for a couple and steers the next to thirdman for one.

Bhuvi gets the fourth ball to slant away from the left-hander who has a poke and is beaten but it is ruled a wide, followed by another wide down the leg side to left-hander Minod Bhanuka.

Debutant Bhanuka gets a thick outside edge off the last ball for a single to get off the mark as 10 runs come from the first over.

Deepak Chahar from the other end. Bhanuka walks across the stumps a long way and flicks the first ball over fine leg for a four.

Dropped! Bhanuka smashes the third ball straight to Hardik in the covers, who goes with the reverse cup but ends up dropping the easy catch as the ball bursts through his fingers.

Fernando is given out caught behind as Chahar bowls a beauty to the right-hander, who looks to defend but edges the outswinger, which moves away enough.

However, Fernando takes the review immediately. The replay shows that the ball missed the bat and went off the pads as the decision is overturned.

Chahar gets the new ball to swing as this time Fernando gets it off the outside half of the bat for a single to thirdman.

The last ball is a full delivery which Bhanuka clips through square leg for a four.
