Ashwin continues as he looks to bowl it tight to Southee, not giving it much air.

Southee waiting for the flighted delivery as he blocks out the first few balls. The fifth ball is pitched up as Southee goes for the swing but gets a thick inside edge. He keeps strike with a single off the last ball to long-on.

Spin from both ends as Jadeja comes into the attack. Southee swings the first ball high over midwicket for a huge six.

Jadeja gets revenge next ball as Southee inside edges it back on to his stumps off the pads to be bowled for 30.

New Zealand are bowled out for 249, taking a handy first innings lead of 32 runs.

Shami leads the team off the field, having taken 4/76, while Ishant claimed 3/48 and Ashwin took 2/28.

The New Zealand lower order chipped in with the bat to help their team take the lead.

The last four wickets put on 87 runs after New Zealand were reduced to 162/6 at one stage.

Jamieson stroked 21 from 16 balls, while Southee made 30 to boost the total.

Devon Conway was the top scorer for New Zealand with 54, while Williamson battled hard to score 49.
