NZ 101-2 (49 ovs) vs  India 217 | Scorecard

Welcome to the coverage of Day 5 of the ICC World Test Championship between India and New Zealand in Southampton on Tuesday.

The big positive after the wash-out on Day 4 is that play will start on time on the fifth day.

Only 141.1 overs have been bowled in the match so far, with rain also washing out the entire opening day's play on Friday.

The WTC final has a reserve day on June 23 to make up for the loss of playing time.

New Zealand will resume Day 5 on 101/2, having bowled out India for 217 to take the upper hand.

Captain Kane Williamson, batting on 12, and Ross Taylor, who is yet to score, will be looking to keep the Indians at bay and push the Kiwis towards a significant first innings lead.
