NZ 128-3 (68 ovs) vs  India 217 | Scorecard

Bumrah comes back into the attack in place of Shami, who was again India's best bowler as he made things happen.

Williamson is watchful as ever as he plays out the over from Bumrah, who is yet to get his line right in the match.

Change of ends for Shami and that works the trick for India.

Taylor tries to drive the full delivery from Shami but hits it uppishly and is caught in the covers by a diving Gill for 11.

Shami gets rewarded for his persistence as he kept plugging in the channel, bowling a lot fuller than his colleagues. This time Taylor was sucked into the drive which he failed to keep down and Gill did well to dive full length to his right and take a superb catch while in flight.

New batsman Henry Nicholls gets a leading edge first ball which goes through the covers for one to get him off the mark.

Williamson clips a full delivery off his pads to fine leg for one.

Shami gets the ball to move away quite late, after passing the stumps, as wicketkeeper Pant is unable to reach it as it goes away for four byes.

Bumrah bowls a beauty to Williamson, who is up to the task, watching the ball till the very last minute before withdrawing from the poke.

Two balls later, he plays a loose shot, throwing his bat at a wide delivery trying to slash it square but is beaten.

The next ball is full and closer to the stumps as Williamson plays and misses in trying to defend it.

In the next over, Shami has a huge appeal for caught behind against Nicholls turned down. He bowls a good short ball which jags in sharply as Nicholls looks to fend it but it passes close to the edge.

The next ball is again short but wide as Nicholls cuts it behind point for a four. The left-hander then inside edges a full delivery trying to defend for a single to fine leg.

Williamson has been quite watchful, just looking to survive on Day 5. So far, he has managed just five runs from 60 balls faced in the morning session.

Bumrah keeps it full as Nicholls is hit on the pads trying to defend but the ball has pitched outside the line of leg stump.

Two balls later, Nicholls is again struck on the pads but again no chance of leg before wicket as Bumrah bowls another maiden over.

Williamson looks in no rush. Shami bowls a wide half-volley which the Kiwi captain gently drives off the front foot to the fielder at mid-off.

The last ball swings away and also bounces as Williamson does well to keep it down.

Infact, this is Williamson's slowest ever innings in Test cricket, scoring just 15 runs from his first 100 balls faced.

"Just 15 runs from the 100 balls Kane Williamson has faced. Williamson has never scored fewer runs from the first 100 balls of a Test innings," cricvizanalyst tweeted.
