Williamson, Taylor keep India at bay

Taylor plays Ishant off his pads on the leg side for a single before Williamson is struck on the abdomen by a quick incoming delivery.

Williamson is hit on the pads as he tries the flick but the leg before shout is turned down.

Williamson taps the last ball on the leg side for a single for his first runs on the Day 5.

Bumrah again guilty of bowling too wide, not making the batsmen play enough. A few easy leaves for Williamson before Bumrah gets his line close to the stumps but the length is short and is easily blocked.

Bumrah finally gets one to pitch in the perfect channel as Williamson keeps it out with a frontfoot block but the last ball is left alone.

Shami comes into the attack in place of Ishant. He gets the first ball to swing a long way as Taylor leaves and wicketkeeper Pant has to dive to his right to stop it in front of first slip.

The next ball again swings big but the length is a bit short as Taylor again has time to get his bat out of the way.

Shami goes full and this time Taylor drives it through the covers for the first boundary on Day 5.

The fourth ball bounces more than expected as Taylor is hit high on the bat for a quick single on the off-side.

Shami gets the ball to come in sharply as Williamson is hit on the pads but the impact is too high and saves him from the leg before shout.

A superb first over from Shami as he bowled in the right areas and created a few problems for the batsmen.

Change of ends for Ishant. The first ball is down the leg side as Taylor gets it off his pads past the dive of Pant for a leg bye.

Some sharp inswing for Ishant off the full length as Williamson is hit around the abdomen area as he attempts to block.

Ishant goes full and Williamson keeps it out watchfully before the last ball comes in sharply as the ball goes off the thigh pads to the fielder at short leg.
