Williamson, Taylor keep India at bay

Shami bowls full as Taylor drives it straight back but misses out on some runs as the ball hits the stumps at the non-striker's end.

Shami gets some late movement as Taylor does well to drag his bat inside the line after initially looking to poke and manages to play out the rest of the over with caution.

Ishant attacking the stumps with a few fielders on the leg side. The first ball is full and comes in and Williamson taps it towards midwicket but the next ball slips down the leg side.

Williamson gets a single off an inside edge before Taylor gloves the short ball trying to glance it as wicketkeeper Pant dives across but can't get to it, and the ball goes fine for a four.

That takes the New Zealand total to 117/2, exactly 100 runs behind India's first innings total.

Taylor then plays a loose shot, throwing his bat at a wide delivery without any footwork and is beaten on the inside edge.

Some late inswing for Shami as Williamson leaves and Pant again does well to stop it on the bounce despite the movement.

The third ball is sliding down the leg side as Williamson misses the glance but manages to keep out the rest of the over with caution.

Ishant keeps it on the stumps to Taylor, who is looking to play straight as he defends it mid-on.

Good bowling from Ishant, full and coming in sharply with Taylor doing well to block.

Taylor flicks a full delivery through midwicket where Rahane puts in the dive to save some runs.

New Zealand are 117/2 in 62 overs having successfully negotiated the first hour without any damage, scoring 16 runs from 13 overs in the first hour.

Williamson has battled hard to score 14 from 82 balls, while Taylor has made 11 from 36 balls.
