The first ball is pitched right up as Latham inside edges it back on to his pads but the next is blocked off the middle.

He leaves the third ball before driving the fourth into the covers followed by blocks off the last two balls.

Mohammed Shami with the new ball ahead of Jasprit Bumrah. He starts with a short ball which Conway tries to pull but can't get it off the middle.

Conway clips the next ball for a single to get New Zealand off the mark. Latham leaves the next three balls before he defends the last ball into the covers.
