Jasprit Bumrah comes into the attack in place of Ishant. Latham drives the first ball but can't get it in the gap through the covers before he takes a single off the next.

Bumrah strays down the pads as Conway glances it fine for a four. He gets the last ball to bounce more than expected as the left-hander hangs his bat out and is beaten.

Shami gets the ball to move away as Latham pokes and is beaten but manages to leave the next.

Latham is beaten again as he tries to drive Shami who keeps testing the batsmen with his movement and pace.

New Zealand go into the tea break on 19 for no loss, needing another 120 runs for victory in 45 overs in the final session of the match.

Earlier, India were bowled out for 170 in their second innings, setting New Zealand 139 to win the inaugural World Test Championship title.

Rishabh Pant was the top-scorer for India with a cavalier 41, while Rohit Sharma made 30.
