India 130-5 (55 ovs) & 217 vs NZ 249 | Scorecard

Pant and Jadeja have brought some life back to the proceedings with their positive approach.

Even though they have put only 20 runs so far, they have given New Zealand something to think, who have pushed a few fielders in the deep to stem the flow of runs.

Wagner continues as Pant clips the first ball to midwicket for a single.

Wagner switches to round the wicket and tries the short ball which goes down the leg side.

Jadeja content to leave the bouncers down the leg side with lunch round the corner.

A short ball finally on target as Jadeja blocks it off the backfoot but well short of the short leg fielder.

He take the last ball on the body as India go into the lunch break on Day 6 on 130/5 in 55 overs, for an overall lead of 98 runs.

Pant stroked his way to a brisk 28, while Jadeja is on 12.

India lost three wickets in the session in 25 overs for the addition of 66 runs.

Jamieson was once again the wrecker-in-chief with the ball for the Kiwis as he got the big wicket of Kohli, who was caught behind for 13. He also dismissed the well-set Pujara for 15, while Boult got Rahane caught down the leg side for the same score.

The tall pacer bowled a splendid spell in the morning session, taking 2/21.

India will look to bat out the next session and play out for a draw but with Pant out in the middle, anything is possible.
